The idea for LallyGone was born out of a professional engineer’s experience with homeowners’ increasing desire to maximize the living space they currently have and their mounting frustration with trying to work around clumsy and inconvenient support columns or obstructive bearing walls.

Our History
Through a local builder, the engineer began removing Lally columns and reinforcing beams for customers as an aspect of larger remodeling/addition projects.
The demand for this service proved to be so strong and the results so impactful for the homeowner that a separate entity, LallyGone, LLC, emerged in 2008 with its sole focus on removing Lally columns and bearing walls. We soon expanded our services to include structural engineering consulting and general structural remediation, adding StructuralMD to our name.

StructuralMD and Lallygone are built on a foundation of professional engineering expertise, specialized inspection certifications, and decades of hands-on structural experience. Every project is guided by a commitment to safety, code compliance, and practical engineering solutions that protect both people and property.
Our founder is a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of New Jersey and we are Registered Home Improvement Contractors in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
In addition to professional licensure, we maintain several of New Jersey’s highest-level Special Inspector certifications. These specialized credentials qualify us to perform critical structural inspections required under the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code for commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects.
